Patron Poll Results | Q1 2026

Beige background with a pastel purple speech bubble in the middle. Black text in the bubble reads: Paul Memorial Library Patron Poll, What's your vote?

The results are in!

If you haven’t stopped in to the Library in 2026, you’ve been missing out on our new Patron Polls! Every other Friday, we are putting up a new question on our whiteboard to find out what Newfields thinks about the important topics of our time.

Here is what we’ve learned so far…

  1. Newfields residents have no fear of salmonella, with 68% of respondents saying they eat raw cookie dough.
  2. When it comes to “Toy Story,” the first is always the best—more than half of respondents prefer the original film over the other three (to answer a question we got a lot: yes, there are four films and there is a fifth on the way).
  3. Newfields loves dogs more than cats, by a nearly 2 to 1 margin.
  4. Tell us you’re from NH without telling us you’re from NH. 55% of respondents believe that “Reese-ees” is the correct way to refer to the company that makes the peanut butter cups, as opposed to “Reese-is.”

(We do feel obligated to point out that the company addresses this very issue in their FAQ’s and the answer is “Reese-is”…but they are in Pennsylvania, so really, what do they know?)

Be sure to stop by the Library to check out our current Patron Poll (we post a new one twice a month) and cast your vote!
