SUMMARY:Art Workshop with Andy
DESCRIPTION:Everyone is an artist! We’ll be offering a welcoming\, inclusive\, and supportive environment for children to make art. \nWe’ll have supplies available but also feel free to bring your own. While being artistic\, we’ll also discuss why art is important to us\, how we can use it to make our lives better\, and all the different ways to access that visually creative part of your brain. \nAs someone who grew up thinking\, “I’m not an artist\,” or “art just isn’t for me\,” It’s been amazing to see the benefits I’ve found in just doodling. Children will be welcome to share their artwork\, collaborate with a peer\, experiment with new materials\, and maybe try something a little new. \nGrades 5-8.
