All About the Eclipse

March 28, 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

On April 8th a total eclipse of the sun will be visible in northern New England. This rare spectacle of nature will not return to our state until 2079, so you won’t want to miss it this time around.

Join us on Thursday, March 28 at 6:30pm for a special presentation All About the Eclipse by Rob Weir, a member of the NH Astronomical Society.

Learn what causes an eclipse, why a total solar eclipse is so rare, details on where the eclipse can be seen, things to watch for during an eclipse, and how to observe the eclipse safely.

Please register to help us plan for numbers: https://forms.gle/XjA6cqqdDnse2X4f8

*If we our numbers exceed the library space, we will move the event to the Newfields Town Hall. Please check in for updates closer to the event.
