What do the Friends do?

The Friends of the Newfields Public Library is a local 501(c)(3) non profit that raises money to foster closer relations between the Newfields community and the Library, enhance community engagement and literacy in Newfields, and encourage benefactions and other support of the community.

They provide many materials and services that we could not otherwise afford. Because of their hard work, the following are available for all patrons:

  • New DVDs each month.
  • Free and discounted museum passes.
  • Support for several magazine subscriptions.
  • Welcome gift for new residents.
  • Support for our Summer Reading Program for children.
  • The quarterly newsletter mailed out to all households.
  • Tote bags for sale (available at the Library).
  • Scholarship for High School Seniors
