Watson’s book won the Wild Card Category of the 2024 NH Book Awards and has a starred review from Booklist. 

Using stark statistics and relatable humor, “Everyone’s Trash” redefines everyday waste by paving the way for dramatically increasing our recyclables.
The technology is available to make recycling cost effective. In “Everyone’s Trash,” recycling clearly makes “cents.”
As Watson, says, “More people in America recycle than vote. Recycling is more popular than Democracy!” With innovation and know-how, a cleaner, greener community can be ours.

Watson is an expert on recycling and solid waste disposal and is the Assistant Director Public Works at the City of Keene where he has been for over 32 years. Watson will share his insights and vision for the future of waste management.

About the Author:

Duncan Watson grew up in Northern California but found his home in New England, where he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire and a master’s in Resource Management from Antioch University New England. As Assistant Director of Public Works for the City of Keene, NH, Watson has seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities of modern recycling and waste management.
