Dungeons and Dragons – Grades 5-8 (Registration Required)

March 11 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Dungeons and Dragons is a tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG). Typically played with anywhere from 2-6 players, you’ll get to create a hero and guide them through a wide variety of quests, adventures, battles, and explorations. The Dungeon Master will provide the world and setting but the players will get to decide what they want to do. All dice, paper, and manuals will be provided but if you have your own supplies, you’re more than welcome to bring them.

D&D is a wonderful setting for children to develop their:

Creative Writing

Social Skills

Executive Functioning

Problem Solving

Literacy and Math Skills

It also provides a safe and creative space for children to express themselves in ways they don’t normally have a chance to.  It also fosters a sense of confidence and inclusion that can help them navigate in the real world.

Never played D&D before? No problem! Our DM, Andy is more than happy to walk you through the rules and help you make your first character.

Our current session has started but if you’re interested in playing, reach out to the library! We’re always looking to add sessions, groups, or one-shot adventures if we have enough interest.
