Join us on Tuesday, June 23 at 3PM for a creative poetry writing workshop. No expertise necessary!
Poetry can be an intimidating word but don’t let that keep you from writing! We’ll have an open space for kids to not only work on and share poetry but talk about what poetry means to them.
No papers will be graded, no projects will be assigned, and no lectures will be given.
We’ll be focusing on the art of Brain Spelunking, a method of brainstorming that aims to take away from the rigidity of writing and dig into all the thoughts in your head that are worth writing about. When you take away the fear of expectation, you’d be surprised at how many new and wonderful ideas are waiting right inside your own mind!
Recommended for Grades 5-8.
All writing materials provided, but feel free to bring your own notebook if you’d like.
