Celebrate National Reading Month with our Annual Read Across America Challenge!

The rules are simple. Starting Monday, March 2, for every minute you read, we’ll log 1 mile on the map. At the end of the month, we’ll tally everyone’s miles.

Register and track your reading on the Reader Zone app using the program code 9f0cc.

The top reader with the most “miles” logged will win bragging rights and a hot cocoa kit. And ALL participants can pick out a prize from the treasure chest. (Adults, we have stickers and bookmarks for you too).

Let’s see how far Newfields can read!

How to Participate

To participate, simply sign up with Reader Zone. You can download the app or log in through your desktop. (The app is super easy to use!)

  1. Create an account and log in with the Library’s program code: 9f0cc
  2. Select “Read Across America 2026” program.
  3. Choose your age group (“Kids 0-18” OR “Adults”)
  4. Log your reading minutes. Use the timer on the app or add your minutes manually after you’re done.
  5. Every minute you read = 1 mile on the map.

**If you’ve already participated in a past reading program, then you can use your same logins as last time.

Call or email the Library with any questions. Happy reading!
